Letting go of my goals – Derek Sivers

Derek Sivers
Derek Sivers

Derek has been a musician, producer, circus performer, entrepreneur, TED speaker, and book publisher.

He started CDBaby and HostBaby long ago. His short audio/book Anything you want tells you everything he learned while starting, growing, and selling the business.

He is monomaniac, introvert, slow thinker, and he loves finding a different point of view.

He is a California native, and now lives in Oxford, England.

We talked about the metrics of the website. Writing in your diary to write about your ideas and problems and why he is doing this in plain text. Why he loves to look at beautiful things and think that this could all be gone tomorrow and stoicism. He shared his thought of the morning about meandering and leadership.

We also shared ideas about letting go of goals. I explained how I used this idea for business goals and how Derek uses it and how it makes him feel relieved. And his concept of Hell Yeah or No. Just listen to our conversation and see why I love reading his writing and listening to his podcast episodes.

Enjoy the insights with Derek.
